Building Alivio Technologies, Inc. (ATech) has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, but I’ll be honest—it’s also been one of the hardest. Right now, we’re in a phase that requires deep research and development, a process that takes time, patience, and trust.

For someone who thrives on momentum, this stage has tested me. I’m used to executing, making decisions, and driving forward. But research and development require a different mindset—one that embraces iteration, long timelines, and relying on the expertise of others. And that last part? That’s been a lesson in itself.

I’m incredibly fortunate to have some powerhouse minds in my corner—brilliant researchers, developers, and strategists who bring insights I wouldn’t have on my own. I trust them deeply. But even with that trust, it’s still hard to loosen my grip, to step back and allow space for the process to unfold.

Letting go of control, even just a little, isn’t easy. It’s uncomfortable. It’s a practice in humility and faith. But I know that in order for ATech to reach its full potential, I have to allow room for the brilliance around me to shine. I have to remind myself that good things—truly transformative things—take time.

So, I’m trying to give myself grace in this season. To remind myself that just because things aren’t moving as fast as I’d like doesn’t mean they aren’t moving in the right direction. That research and innovation aren’t about speed; they’re about depth, about getting it right.

Can anyone else relate? Whether you’re leading a startup, working on a passion project, or navigating a season of growth, how do you balance patience with progress? Would love to hear how you navigate these moments of trust and letting go.
