As the holiday season approaches, I’ve been reflecting on ways to spread joy to those who need it most—especially those who have beend eeply affected by war.

A dear friend of mine, who resides in Ukraine, donates her free time to soldiers wounded in the war. My friend often shares stories about her visits to rehab centers in Ukraine, where soldiers are fighting not just physical pain, but also the emotional toll of their injuries. These conversations have led me to think about how I can contribute something meaningful to their lives this holiday season and how I can further support my friend's mission of providing light to the soldiers in Ukraine.

Personally, I’ve always loved receiving handwritten notes. There’s something so special about a personal message—an unexpected surprise that brings light to your day. I’ve found that giving letters is just as fulfilling, seeing the joy in someone’s eyes when they receive one. This simple gesture, so often overlooked, can really brighten someone's spirits.

Inspired by this, I sent 120 handwritten letters to two different rehab centers in Ukraine. The letters, filled with messages of hope, encouragement, and love, were mailed out last week and should arrive before the new year (fingers crossed that DHL comes through!). My hope is that these letters will bring a little comfort and joy to the soldiers who are facing some of the most difficult battles of their lives.

I can’t wait to share more about this small but heartfelt initiative with you all in a future post. For now, I wish you all a peaceful holiday season, filled with love and moments of connection.

Let’s all find ways to spread a little joy, no matter how small.
